RObjectiveC

This is a semi-complete R package that allows one to access ObjectiveC code from R. It was originally written in December 2002 to support work on the Mac. Unfortunately, although the package was close to completion (in terms of additional hours needed) , it was never released as the intial interest in using ObjectiveC didn't seem to be shared by many.

Simon Urbanek has recently posted another package in the same vein. This package is provided in the spirit that others can take what is here if it is useful and use it with Simon's package to provide a complete form. I haven't yet looked at Simon's package but imagine that is similar to this and well written. It is certainly "fresher" and so probably more appropriate at this point in time.

I am happy to explain or work on aspects of the code if there is interest in combining it with Simon's work.
